Its been 8 years, and let me tell you things did get better. Of course I still had ups and downs but its amazing how different things are then what you imagined. I wish at I knew what I know now, I think things would have been totally different. I know things seemed so difficult with school and friends but just giving it time will be best.
Remember how you worried about getting into university and getting good marks in high school. Well, you will go to university and change your career choice and your minor but that is nothing to get worked up about because so many people change your mind. The difficulty of university will be hard but you will get use to it and subjects you loved in high school, will change in university. There is no reason for you to stress out about finals in high school, don't stress to much over them because you will be fine its only high school. Also making that decision in high school to drop out of french immersion in order to pass history was a good decision, as much as you regretted it, it was the best choice for you and you did continue french till university. You took the extra help that teachers offered you in high school to get better marks, but you should of taken that on in university and not be terrified of your profs. I know you took high school seriously but I wish you would of taken this seriousness to uni, like not procrastinating, asking for help, and making new friends.
Friends, now where do I start? the drama will go away and you will find out who your true friends are it will take a long time but you will get there. Avoid the drama, and don't get caught up in it. Yes you learned a lot of the drama but I wish you just distanced yourself from it a little more and didn't get caught in the drama spiral. I'm also glad that you got the guts to ask your guy friend to grad, as most people let the guy ask, you took the courage and asked him. I just wish you didn't ask him over Facebook, like really Facebook you could of done so much better.
All things considered you did a good job at being a teenager, you didn't get in trouble, give into peer pressure, or do anything bad. I just wish you tried new things and put yourself out there because it would have made it a little easier 8 years later. Instead you are still stuck with not liking to try new things or stepping out of your comfort zone. I also wish that you would speak up for yourself, you let yourself get walked all over by bullies and your friends. Another thing is that once after high school no one care what you look like, no one cares how much you weight. Being a larger girl has its struggles but it did get better, but confidence is the main key and don't let let people bring you down.
I don't wish to go back to that age but there are things that I miss about 16 year old me. I miss how determined I was, how I took pride in things and how I never let time slip by I would always be doing something and would never let myself procrastinate. Im also happy that you didn't let the bullies rip you apart, yes you had your bad days but you didn't let that define you. Im glad you made that decision to still be here today, it was a tough one but it was the correct choice. Im happy that you got good grades and didn't always give into the cool things like drinking and doing drugs.
