DIY Anthropologie Inspired Bowls
8:41:00 PM Winter is coming to an end, so spring is right around the corner. Meaning bright colors, warmer weather and I find redecorating or spring cleaning your room. Through my time on tumblr and pinterest I have been seeing posts about these anthropologie bowls, they are either solid coloured on the outside with a pattern on the inside or a pattern on the outside. The prices of these bowls can be quite expensive, but you can make them yourselves with materials most people already have.
What You Need
- bowls (I got mine at Dollaram for $1.25 each)
- paint
- paint brush
- paint marker
Solid Color Bowl
Solid color bowl adds a nice splash of color with a pattern on the inside. What you want to do is paint the outside a solid color, I find that a pastel colors work the best for this project. Then do a pattern of your choice on the inside. If you can free hand a pattern with paint and a paint brush then id go for it, but I did a simple pattern with paint markers as I found that easier. I finished it off with a gold rim, using a gold paint pen.
Patterned Bowl
For the patterned bowl, the pattern is on the outside and the inside is left plain. For the pattern you can either free hand it with paint and a paint brush or you can use paint markers like I did. I did a simple stripe pattern with a floral pattern in between the stripes, but you can do what you choose and them rim it with gold.
Final product of both the pattern and solid bowl
